The Rotary Community Corps (RCC) of Boulder is a social gathering and service club that meets for interaction and volunteer planning once a month.  Friends in Rotary Service Together (FIRST) has a membership base of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) as well as their friends, family and supporters.  FIRST is committed to Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self and holds itself accountable to the Four-Way Test in all its activities.
Since its inception in December 2014, the RCC has volunteered their time to support local non-profits such as Wreaths Across America, Meals on Wheels, Hospice, ACL, delivering flowers to local hospitals and nursing homes, and catering for non-profit events as well as presenting to other Rotary clubs.
Rotary International has created Rotary Community Corps as an opportunity to involve local non-Rotarians volunteers who share our commitment to service.  RCC members plan and carry out projects in their communities and support local Rotary club projects. There are more than 7,500 corps in over 80 countries.  Boulder’s RCC is a result of Rotary members who share the vision that ALL members of a community can contribute through volunteerism and FIRST allows opportunities for those who often receive services to give back.
