Boulder Rotary Club has been a "Gift to the World" many times over during the 2015-16 year and received notable recognition at the 2015-2016 District 5450 Conference:
 
District 5450’s Vocational Service Award:
The BRC Vocational Service Committee, composed of Carl Scott, Chuck Aumiller, Michelle Carpenter and Merrill Glustrom, won this award for recognition of the Rotary Club that has made a distinct contribution to supporting students who pursue post-high education at community colleges and trade schools.  The Committee has taken the initiative to award many more scholarships now that it is receiving support from the Charitable Remainder Trust set up by Leo Hill and from the Boulder Rotary Club Foundation's Endowment for Education, to which Leo also contributed generously in his lifetime. 
 
Kevin Farrell Leadership Award, Sponsored by Rotary Club
Bill Rubin was recognized with this award that honors a Rotarian in District 5450 who demonstrates a sustained commitment to the nurturing of leadership in both youth and adults. Bill's longtime commitment to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards summer camp made this award richly deserved indeed.
 
Youth Service Award, Sponsored by the Smoky Hill Rotary Club
To engender success for Latino students at Boulder High School in efforts to fund their post-high-school education , the Adelante! Mentorship project in coordination with Boulder New Generations Pilot Satellite Rotary Club received this award.
 
District 5450's Family of Rotary Award
Boulder Rotary Club won for the best effort to share Rotary - through Boulder Rotary Club's two satellites, sponsoring the Fairview High School and Boulder High School Interact Clubs, CU Rotaract Club, Boulder Rotary Community Corps, a newsletter emailing list twice the size of the Club membership, continuing connection to Rotarian spouses, friends, and former Club members, Caring Committee, and collaboration with Area 15 Rotary Clubs - Boulder Flatirons, Boulder Valley, Coal Creek and Niwot.
 
Helping Hands Award, Sponsored by Brush Rotary Club
BNGRC's District Grant #2287 for the Nuestra Perspectiva Project, undertaken in collaboration with the Boulder Latino History Project to allowed Latino teens to share their outlooks and their family histories and culture in print and through photographs and videos, won the award recognizing concern and support for children facing extraordinary challenges. BRC thanks Chris Carruth and Zach Mosley for their efforts.
 
District 5450 Governor's Discretionary Award
Mike Brady, District Trainer and District Conference master of ceremonies, was recognized by District Governor Mary Kay Hasz for his service.
 
Rotarian Spouse / Partner Service Award
Scott Stocker, spouse of Nancy Stocker, received this award in recognition of all, he has done for many years in support of Youth Exchange.
